Enterprise Holdings announced it purchased the AllCar Rent-a-Car and Carpingo brands from Citiwide Auto Leasing Inc. Read more about the announcement here. 

Carpingo will continue to operate under its current brand for now, but Carpingo members will be transitioned this summer to the Enterprise CarShare program, already operating in the Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, and parts of New Jersey areas. As a result, we are directing all prospective Carpingo members or business accounts to join Enterprise Carshare in the New York metro area.

Current Carpingo members, looking for more information?

 

Here are a few things you need to know:

  • Your membership and billing will remain the same

  • Continue to make all reservations at www.Carpingo.com

  • Your current fob will remain active and will allow you access to the vehicles

What changes will occur to my Carpingo membership?

Carpingo will continue to operate under its current brand for the next few months, when members transition to the Enterprise CarShare program, already operating in the Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, and parts of New Jersey areas. Stay tuned and be sure to check your email as we will announce exciting changes coming soon like supplementing the current fleet with new, fuel-efficient vehicles, along with expanded access to vehicles in neighborhoods where you live and work.

Should I begin to book reservations through Enterprise CarShare?

Not at this time. Continue to book reservations through the Carpingo system as you always have.

Will my member ID or key fob change?

Not at this time. Carpingo will continue to operate under its current brand for the next few months. Until then, your membership and billing will remain the same and you can continue to follow the same reservation process. Additionally, your current membership card will remain active and can still be used to access to vehicles.

I have reservations in the system. Will these be cancelled?

Not at this time. Your reservations will stay the same until the transition to Enterprise CarShare. We will notify you of any changes or modifications that will need to be made to future reservations when the time comes, and will work to ensure you experience uninterrupted service so you can car share as always!

Will the vehicle locations that I currently use stay the same?

Once the transition to Enterprise CarShare happens, you will have access to five times as many vehicles and locations throughout the boroughs.
